I hate you.
With hostility
that erodes
My Christian values
Each day I seek
a quality that
would redeems you,
but I meet failure.
I search for warmth
You possess none.
Just your chill and iciness
mixed with threats.
I'm tired of your
demanding chores.
I don't want to do
them any more.
Where is your warmth?
Do you have any?
You were born
to be cold and harsh.
I wish you away
Far from me.
But you’re here
Winter.
I couldn't have said it better....I'm waiting for spring...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....though I agree with you 100%, even though winter is usually my favorite season. I think it was the fact there was no way to leave my house for about a week during this season too. Though doesn't the slight torment of waiting make it all that more exciting when winter is finally gone?
ReplyDeleteVery eloquent.
ReplyDeleteI normally don't mind winter, but I'm with perfectlyunnormal, it's been TOO cold so we can't even go sledding or cross-country ski. But the hints of spring are just around the corner. You've also inspired me! Maybe I'll try to write a Haiku today. ;)
